Went to the lake over the weekend with the two grandkids, and hubby! Youngest daughter came from Saturday night until Monday morning......and the kids mom came for the day on Sunday!
Went swimming Saturday and Sunday, but we finally got those fall temps come Monday morning!.........Emilee had to go home with my youngest daughter on Monday morning cause she's in kindergarten now and had school today!
Eli stayed with us an extra night...........so, we had to find things for him to do!
Yesterday I took him on a little treasure hunt........with Eli.....anything he finds on the ground can be a treasure to him!..........That's what this pic is!
That's my grandson....he found a piece of a fence post....a couple of rocks, a couple of nuts, an acorn........a fuzzy thing from a plant.......and a few other green things! He was so proud of them!
We got home today.....now to get all the laundry done so me and the hubby can leave again on Friday! heading to the lake for a day and then on to Branson to see a show!.....not sure what we are going to go see yet though!
I Can Only Imagine

Gift for Emilee's Teacher
Made this today! And, since Em's teacher had a birthday over the weekend, I'll send it with her to school in the morning with a hand sanitizer! Thought it came out pretty good! I just added ribbons on the side and glued rhinestones on the front!

AUGUST 19, 2011
Turned into a busy day today! After getting Em off to school, Eli and I hung around the house until almost 11....then, I went got some cash and off to the Farmer's market we went! I got onions, cucumbers, green beans, peppers, and yellow squash! yum! Can't wait to cook some tonight on the grill! Then off we went to Carthage to Goody's to buy a birthday present for my great-niece who was in visiting for the day/evening from South Dakota....bought her the cutest little blue dress! Wish I could have got one for Miss Em too! But, I did buy her some accessories ......bows and headbands! Then we went to the Dollar General to get a gift bag and I got some really cute notebooks that I intend to add ribbons too for gifts. Then we went to Aldi to get more meat for cooking at home and few other things I thought of!
We got home......got everthing unloaded and put away and then it was time to go down to wait for Em's bus!
A few hours later we went to play with Miss Paxton (the visiting great-niece) and then made plans to meet them later at Chuck E. Cheese to play some more!..........we all finally left for home at 10 o'clock!......long day for Miss Em getting up at 6:15 and not getting home til ten! Bet she sleeps in!

AUGUST 18,2011
So, this is my first post....have been looking at blogs and wishing I could get started making the things I see! There are some great ones to look at and so many ideas out there!
I have been babysitting my grandkids since February due to unemployment. Looking for a job and enjoying the time with them. My oldest grandchild started kindergarten yesterday! Seems like she was just a baby....she's growing up so quickly!
My grandson and I have been hanging out with each other while she is at school.....he is almost 3.
Today we played with Fazoodles and made a couple of cute animals with that, then he wanted to play Don't Break the Ice, Cootie and had me read a dozen books!
Might try making playdough with him tomorrow....will post my recipe and pictures soon!
